R. KELLY'S brother Carey Kelley claims -- in a low-budget DVD released Tuesday -- that his brother offered him $50,000, a record deal and a house to testify in court that it was he and not R. who appeared in the sex tape that landed the R&B singer in court on child pornography charges. Carey says he refused the offer because he "would rather make it on his own than sell [his] soul." On the DVD, Carey -- who was recently released from prison for theft and has an admitted grudge against his brother -- goes on to accuse R. of abusing his wife, molesting their twelve-year-old second cousin and being bisexual. An R. Kelly spokesman released a statement noting that this was not the first time Carey had made accusations against his brother and refused further comment.

ELVIS COSTELLO and New Orleans musician ALLEN TOUSSAINT will release their collaborative tribute to the Crescent City, The River in Reverse, on June 6th. The album features seven songs previously recorded by Toussaint, five new collaborations and one new song penned by Costello.

A controversial anti-milk video with a soundtrack penned by proud vegan NICK ZINNER, guitarist for the YEAH YEAH YEAHS, is now online at peta2.com, the Web site for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals' youth-oriented branch. The clip, "Milk Gone Wild" -- originally intended to run during the Super Bowl before it was pulled -- apes the popular soft-porn video series Girls Gone Wild, and features girls lifting their T shirts in a bar to reveal udders instead of human breasts. Other musicians that have teamed with peta2 in the past include LE TIGRE, MORRISSEY, NEKO CASE and CAT POWER.

BABYSHAMBLES frontman PETE DOHERTY pleaded guilty to seven drug charges -- including heroin, crack cocaine and marijuana -- Thursday in a London court before kicking a BBC Radio reporter in the arm as he exited. The troubled singer, already under a year-long community service order for previous drug charges, was more than an hour late for court, where the judge agreed to postpone his case until April 20th.

A film chronicling the making of HERBIE HANCOCK's latest album, Herbie Hancock: Possibilities, will be released next month by Magnolia Pictures, featuring the jazz-fusion pianist's collaborations with CHRISTINA AGUILERA, JOHN MAYER, CARLOS SANTANA, PAUL SIMON, ANNIE LENNOX and STING. The film will be Magnolia's second attempt at the experimental "super release," coming to theatres April 14th, to DVD April 18th and at HDNet Cable Channel April 23rd.

PHIL SPECTOR's murder trial has been postponed until September, when prosecutors and the legendary music producer's defense attorneys will be finished with other high-profile cases. Spector, currently free on $1 million bail, is accused of shooting actress Lana Clarkson in his Los Angeles mansion in February of 2003. At the time, Spector told authorities that Clarkson had committed suicide.
